Firefighters and first responders identify and measure toxic gases — including hydrogen cyanide — during rescue and hazmat operations.

Before and during entry into tanks, shafts and vessels, clearance measurement with a pump and hose verifies the atmosphere is safe.
A single gas detector monitors one leading substance — typically CO, H₂S, SO₂ or O₂ — and suits workplaces where the hazard is known and limited. A multi gas detector measures up to seven substances at once and is the right choice for confined space entry, clearance measurement and any environment where several hazards can occur together.
Clearance measurement verifies that a confined space is safe to enter before anyone goes in. It needs a pumped device — either a detector with an internal pump such as the X-am 3500 or X-am 8000, or a diffusion device paired with the X-am Pump — drawing a sample through a hose of up to 45 metres.
A bump test before each use confirms the sensors and alarms respond; calibration on a defined interval confirms the readings are accurate. A test station such as X-dock automates both, keeps gas consumption low and records certificates for HSE inspection.
Bluetooth-enabled devices — including the X-am 2800, X-am 5800 and Pac 8500 — connect to Gas Detection Connect through a smartphone or the explosion-proof ConHub gateway, giving live gas readings, alarm notification and fleet management from a browser.
